PresentationComputer Engineer is one of the profession of the future, since all you have around is driven by software and will be more and more. Companies have need of Computer Engineers, in particular Software Analyst and Develpers, Programmers and Experts in informatics applications are professionals too difficult to find. Therefore to graduate as Computer Engineers ensures full employability. Course contentThe program in Computer Engineering aims at training highly skilled professionals who can efficiently apply their expertise both in ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and in the manufacturing or services sectors. Thanks to the collaboration and partnership with several companies, the degree program offers a wide range of job placements. 40% of the coursework is related to specialized computer engineering subjects such as programming, operating systems, hardware and software architecture, databases, software engineering, and network applications. All the courses include laboratory practice, which provides students with immediate feedback on their acquired skills. From the interviews to our graduates, we discover that the 97% of them declared: "the use of the competences acquired in the course had been helpful in their job", while the 93% said "the course is very effective in their job".
Career optionsCompletion of the Computer Engineering program qualifies graduates as Computer Engineers (with a first-cycle degree), and provides them with a broad and intensive training on IT topics which will allow to understand all aspects of computer science in both IT services and industrial applications. Students who complete the program can continue their studies at the second-cycle degree in Computer Engineering or work directly in the field, drawing on contacts established with companies during their placements. The wide range of provided skills allow graduates to place them as self-employed professionals or IT professionals in manufacturing or services companies, as well as working in public administrations. Our course additionally offers career chances in Italian and international companies in the ICT sector, in mechanics, automotive and ceramics engineering fields. Moreover, as computer engineer you can start a business activity with relative few investments: many ideas, a computer and an Internet connection.
