The degree programme in International Economics and Marketing provides students with the skills to understand and make business choices in an international complex context. Managing relations with international customers, knowing how to choose and manage the most suitable commercial channels in various markets, and possessing the language knowledge required for effective communication with foreign partners, are just an example of the skills offered by the programme. The academic programme in International Economics and Marketing is aimed at developing a suitable skill profile and autonomous decision- making skills in order to support students in their personal career paths. These skills are enhanced through practical applications, case studies, participation in seminars with managers, and internships (local or international).

Course content

The academic programme is divided into four areas of study. The first area deals with principal business techniques and methods essential for company management. The second area concerns the foundations of international economics and provides tools for the analysis of industrial structures. The third area addresses the development of marketing skills (e.g. tools and techniques for international market evaluation, strategies for entering foreign markets, and managing international marketing policies). Finally, the fourth area, which is an innovative approach to Economics and International Marketing, focuses on solid language skills in English and in a second language, to be chosen from German, Spanish, and French.

Career options

At the end of the programme, students will possess a solid knowledge of economics, languages, and marketing, which will enable them to work in many Italian businesses already closely connected to foreign markets, or in the process of internationalisation. In these companies, a degree in International Economics and Marketing is useful in the fields of marketing, business, procurement, and management assistance. The skills profile enables graduates to successfully operate in roles offered by entrepreneurial associations, company service centres, banks, and other financial institutions supporting economic internationalization.
