PresentationThe degree program in Law in Business and Public Administration is aimed at responding to the current demand both in the public and private sectors to combine a solid legal preparation with the ability to understand and apply existing regulations in specific and specialized areas. The ever-increasing need, both of companies and public bodies, to operate within a continuously evolving society requires professionals who can easily work within the framework of existing laws and regulations. Local industries and enterprises operating in a highly competitive environment, as well as public administrations, are sensitive and attentive to the need to find professionals possessing innovative skills, enabling them to understand and deal with general and specialized legal issues.
Course contentThe degree program consists of two main instructional areas. The first two years, common to all students, focus on the acquisition of a basic knowledge of law and the fundamentals and mechanisms of national law and international economic law. These studies require a knowledge of the English language as well as practical and legal skills in the field of computers. The second part, which is one year in length, offers three pathways of differentiated study, each designed to provide an in-depth study of three areas of specialization: corporate law, labor relations, and other fields of law, public service and administration The choice of pathways provides an intensive and specialized two-year program, consistent with the student’s individual interests and career goals. The instructional model is modern and aimed at facilitating the integration of acquired knowledge and skills, and one which encourages a high degree of interaction between professors and students. In addition to traditional lectures, students will have the opportunity to participate in seminars with Italian and foreign professors, group projects, class discussions focusing on practical cases and sentences, and national and international research projects with professors. Most importantly, they will be able to gain direct experience “in the field” via internships at local public and private institutions.
Career optionsAt the end of the program students will graduate with the knowledge and skills necessary to allow them to choose from among a large number of career opportunities in the world of administration, industry, third sectors, and international organizations. Depending on the specialization chosen, graduates will develop the capacity to operate as legal experts in companies and professional consulting firms, as labor consultants, legal assistants, employees in public administrations and bodies for the management of public security and justice. The degree in Law in Business and Public Administration focuses on developing in students professional and independent decision-making and problem-solving skills, both in a general and legal context. This course also concentrates on developing oral and written communication skills, with specific reference to legal terminology.
