Master graduates in Mechanic Engineering have several employment opportunities in almost all industrial sectors. Master graduates in Mechanic Engineering are able to perform and manage activities such as the design, development, manufacturing, installation and maintenance of production lines and departments. They are also offered high-level positions in manufacturing and service companies, as well as in public administrations operating in the mechanical, plant engineering, automation, robotics and hydraulics fields. They may also work as independent Engineers in the various specialisations that are governed by the State law within the Professional Association of Engineers.

Course content

The study programme explores issues related to the environmental and territorial engineering that help develop design and assessment skills in extremely important professional fields, with the collaboration of the experimental research activities of the Enzo Ferrari Department of Engineering.

Career options

Graduates may find a job as designers and coordinators for the innovation and production of goods and services aimed at environmental sustainability, for the planning and management of infrastructures, and for the environmental protection and recovery. Graduates work both as self-employed professionals and officers with managerial responsibilities in public institutions, businesses, service companies, research centres and laboratories, in charge of design, planning, production and management activities regarding: systems for controlling and monitoring the environment and the territory, activities, technologies and installations for the environmental clean-up and depollution; technologies for the disposal and valorisation of waste (recovery and recycling of materials); importance and hydraulic defence of the territory, soil protection; energy innovation; assessment of the effects and environmental sustainability of plans and works, eco-budgets, systems of high environmental quality. They will be able to take part in the joint design of civil works. The programme trains students to become expert engineers in issues relating to environmental monitoring, and sustainable design and development. Employment opportunities are excellent both in Italy and abroad.
