This information notice is addressed to anyone interacting with the web services of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia that are accessible online from the URL: www.unimore.it, i.e. the home page of the University official website.

Place of data processing

Data processing activities relating to the web services of the website www.unimore.it and its linked thematic websites are carried out at the facilities of the Data Controller and of the Interuniversity Consortium CINECA (registered office at the address via Magnanelli n. 6/3, 40033 Casalecchio di Reno, Bologna). Data processing is carried out exclusively by personnel in charge or any person charged with occasional maintenance operations.

Browsing data

During their ordinary operation, information systems and software procedures used for the website www.unimore.it and its linked thematic websites get some personal data whose communication is implicit when Internet communication records are used. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the Site: except for this possibility, the data on web contacts is retained for a limited period of time and is periodically deleted.

The elective, explicit an voluntary sending of e-mail messages to the addresses posted on the website www.unimore.it and its linked thematic websites entails the subsequent acquisition of the address of the sender, which is necessary to answer any queries, as well as of any other personal information included in the message. Unimore uses an internal (PIWIK) and an external service (Google Analytics) to generate statistics on the use of the website www.unimore.it and its linked thematic websites. The data is collected with the purpose of analysing the use of websites: filling out periodic reports to be used by the website operators on the most searched contents, the connection modes (mobile, pc, browser used, etc.) and the search modes and access to the pages of the portal. In addition, aggregated monthly reports are drawn up as provided for in section 4.8 of the Guidelines for public administration websites: “each administration must properly organise the collection of statistic data useful to understand the level of use of their website".

» Google Analytics - Service offered by Google, Inc., which pursuant to the service terms will use monitoring cookies as independent data controller, in order to trace and examine the use of the website, draw up reports on the website activities that may be used by the website operators, and provide other services relating to the website activities, the connection modes (mobile, pc, browser used, etc.) and the modes to search and access the pages of the portal. Google may also transfer this information to third parties, where this is imposed by the law or third parties process such information on behalf of Google. Google will not associate the IP addresses to any other data owned by Google. By using the University website, you authorise Google to process your data for the modes and purposes indicated above.
