Presentation
The Laboratory of mathematical machines, created in the early 80s, is a research lab on the teaching of mathematics (in particular of geometry) with the use of tools. It has a collection of about two hundred geometry tools (mathematical machines), which have been reconstructed from historical research based on original documents. The majority have their origins in the XVI-XIX centuries (perspectographs, curvigraphs, pantographs for transformations), but there are also a number of instruments from classical times, which relate to the theory of conical sections and problem solving.
