Unicore 5.0 Project - University Corridors for Refugee Students (Cameroon, Niger, Nigeria, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe 2023/24)
In partnership with other Italian Universities, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia participates in the University Corridors for Refugee Students – Unicore 5.0 project promoted by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The Project provides for the direct involvement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Caritas Italiana, Diaconia Valdese, Centro Astalli, Gandhi Charity, as well as the participation of ER.GO and other local institutions.
The Project aims to consolidate and strengthen a legal and safe entry channel intended to facilitate the access of refugees to university education in Italy and encourage their social integration and active participation in the university life, in accordance with the Global Compact on Refugees and with the Manifesto for inclusive University, promoted by the UNHCR and signed by the University.
For the academic year 2023/24, the University awards a study grant for the standard duration of the degree programme plus an extra year, for the enrolment in the Master’s Degree Programme in International Management.
