Brief content description
The course is designed to bring students up to the level required for their chosen course of study (Level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages for International Management students - Level B2/C1 for Corporate Management and Consulting students). In particular, the course aims to equip students with the skills to: 1. understand lengthy and complex texts from the specialized domain of business; 2. use language in a flexible and effective way in a range of business and professional contexts; 3. write clear, complex and well-structured texts, using an appropriate register and subject-specific terminology; 4. develop the students' ability to understand spoken English and follow extended speech on topics related to business and economics; 5. familiarize students with how spoken language is used in a range of business contexts.
