Presentation
The Department of Education and Humanities promotes research and educational activities in the areas of education and training in a wide-ranging epistemological framework that is centred on the study of the individual and of society.
The Department offers two three-year Bachelor in "Education Sciences" and "Psychological sciences and techniques", a Master's degree programme in "Pedagogy" and a five-year degree course in "Primary teacher education" for future teachers of Kindergarten and Primary School.
These courses, as reflected in the relevant teaching ordinances, require continuous experimentation of the relationships that exist across different disciplines. Also, of significant importance is the position of the Department as defined by its relationships through systematic collaborations with various organisations, businesses and educational institutions to experiment and develop best practices aimed at continuing the tradition of excellence that is characteristic of the area of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
